"And I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns." Philippians 1:6 NLT

One of the most important principles in our ongoing recovery and growing relationship with Christ is perseverance. God values our ability to press through even under what appears to be the most adverse circumstances. The reality of our humanness is that we aren't always going to perfectly serve God and that life will show up with the enemy doing his level best to throw us off our game. We will at times fall short but when we do perseverance tells us to get back up and not to ever stay down. We keep getting up. We keep pressing. We keep walking because we know that regardless of our present circumstances God's Word has promised us, " And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them." Romans 8:28 NLT. It doesn't say that all things are going to be good or feel good, but simply that God will work them out for our good. All we have to do is trust Him and keep it moving because He's not through with us yet!
